ecovlke's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone Is Finally Home Safe And Sound Everyone Is Finally Home Safe And Sound My wife had been dismissed last Saturday, but was readmitted early that next Monday. Baby E had been in the NICU since his birth on the 10th. We got to stay in the room with him after his move from the NICU to the NICU Transition Room on July 13th. Everything was looking good for Baby E's Monday dismisal when my wife became critically ill early Monday morning. She went downstairs to the ER around 3:00 AM. She had been swelling greatly since the birth, but the nurses and her OB/GYN told her that it was normal, and that it would go away in a couple of months. The cardiac doctor who saw her in the ER said that her swelling was a sign that her heart was not pumping right. She had to spend a couple of days in ICU and a couple on the Cardiac Floor. She was on a ventilator the first night because her heart and lungs filled with fluid post partum. We almost lost her. She just got to come home yesterday. She is doing well now, but is still very tired. Thank God she is going to be alright. She has to be on heart medication for a year or two, but she will be alright. Baby E is doing just fine. He came home on Tuesday July 16th, three days before mommy. I'm so glad to have them home. I wish all of my children were with me. I love them all so very much. Baby E makes me miss all of my children greatly.
