Shortly after the people came together, the earth became covered in a fog. The only way the people could keep in contact was to call out to each other. Hesaketvmese, the Creator or Master of Breath, took pity on the people and blew the fog away. The people were so happy to see one another, that each of the different groups swore a brotherhood. They said that they would be like family, and named their group after the first animal that they saw. My people saw a deer. That is how I became Deer Clan, and that has been passed down from the beginning of time to today. My town was a Red Town or War Town. Warriors from my town traditionally came from the Deer Clan.
